Whew. It was a week of ups and downs. It both invigorated and drained me. I know that you, too have had weeks like that! It doesn’t happen often, but I wrote a poem of sorts about it. (At least I think I wrote it—but there is always a possibility that it is one I read a long time ago that I suddenly remember!). I pray your weekend is going well. I mentioned that I had my identity stolen. Progress is being made, and I have faith that everything will be ok. May God bless you today.
Take Me to the Ocean, Lord–by Kate Kresse
Take me to the ocean, Lord;
the tides soothe my aching heart.
Take me to the mountains, Lord;
At the summit I can touch your cheek.
Take me to the meadow Lord;
where I hear larks sing your song.
Take me to the forest Lord,
Your pine and leaf strewn paths gladden me.
Take me to the countryside, Lord;
laboring farmers remind me to work my hardest.
Take me to the rivers and lakes, Lord;
a little boat and a little swim refresh me.
Take me to your altar, Lord;
In the quiet, I hear your voice.
Take me to my home and friends, Lord;
The gift of love awaits me there.
Remind me of your arms, Lord;
They take me everywhere.

Take me Home…
me too!
OH KATE–what a beautiful, faith-filled poem!! I especially love the last stanza–I can keep a copy for my “keepsake” file, right? God bless you–love, sis Caddo
Of course! But—when you publish your poetry in a book, I DO want an autographed copy!!
Beautiful. God’s creation sings! 🙂
It surely does Susan. In infinite part harmony. Thanks!
