Here we are on Friday. How is your week going? I hope you all are doing well and feeling loved today. In Phoenix, the weather is glorious. I walked the dogs, made breakfast. Thanks to the internet, I am watching a stage production of Phantom of the Opera. It is fabulous. I am not sure what my plans are this weekend as of yet. I have a mountain of tasks to dig my way through. But for now, I will enjoy the play. I saw a live production years ago with my husband and much of his family. It was a gift from my beloved late mother-in-law. I was totally swept away by the production. I knew nothing about the show beforehand. I had not heard any of the music. It is one of the most wonderful plays I have ever seen.
Live theater tends to sweep me away in such a magnificent way. My folks took us to various high school and college productions when we were growing up. For my 16th birthday, they took me (and my brothers) to see Man of La Mancha. Naturally, that also swept me away.
Perhaps I am especially longing for that joyous feeling of being swept away by a theatrical production because of all of this isolation. I am hoping to set up a zoom meeting with some of my readers…. just to connect. Comment if you are interested. I will figure out what to do.. .. regardless, if you are there and are reading, please say a howdy and let me know how you are faring. Have a blessed day.
Howdy, Kate! I’m glad you are enjoying that Arizona sunshine. Please send some our way — it’s been cold, rainy & even snowy here of late. Isn’t Phantom just phenomenal? I’ve seen it live on stage twice and it’s one of those musicals I could see over and over again.
