I love Leap Day. Let me tell you why. When I was in college I had a wonderful tribe of girlfriends. I am in touch with many of them to this day. Two of them had the exact same birthday. Two of us were born just 5 days apart. Two of them were amazing singers. One of them was born ON LEAP DAY. I always thought that was so cool and a big deal. Her reaction? “No big deal. Timing is everything!”
Every leap year I smile. I knew her long ago. I don’t know where she is now, but I wish her a happy birthday.
Beyond that, I am grateful for the friends God has and continues to put in my path. I am grateful for the ones who forgive my failings and shortcomings. I am grateful for the ones who celebrate victories. I am grateful for the ones who remind me that I am enough…. they say “you do you”.
Leap today. Skip. Celebrate goodness that has come your way.

I Am Becoming the Me I Was Born To BeAs I journey through this part of my life I have discovered my next mountain. The key is to be the me I want to be in the world, as my gift back to God.
