Self-care is vital in loving yourself. It means taking care of yourself (mind, body, and spirit). Before you can fully help others, you must respect, understand, nourish, and fully care for yourself. The things you do and think must first inspire, support, calm, renew, and invigorate yourself. This does not mean convincing yourself that unhealthy things are healthy. You must discern. Are the things you want to do going to increase or decrease your health? There is a huge difference between being self-absorbed and caring for your needs. Your needs need to be cared for if what you need is healthy. For example, needing a cigarette doesn’t mean smoking is healthy for your body! What must be sought is keeping taking care of your needs and other’s needs in harmony. not ignoring one while neglecting the other.
How do you strive to find that harmony and balance? What has worked for you and what benefits have you noticed?

I like these questions. I have to come back to it trying to answer them.
