When we have Rubicon moments

Do you remember the movie 1776? At one point John Adams is singing about crossing the Rubicon. He is talking about those no turning back moments. Sometimes we reach those points, I think. I have had so many life altering events in the past couple of years.

These have changed me. They carved pieces out of my heart. They changed how I view things. They taught me many truths about myself and others.

This brought me to a realization. I am more resilient than I ever imagined. I can get back up after being knocked down. I can and I have.

Life is way too short to leave the key to your happiness in someone else’s pocket. Remember, a woman who walks with God will always reach her destination.

About Kate Kresse
