““The whole difference between construction and creation is exactly this: that a thing constructed can only be loved after it is constructed; but a thing created is loved before it exists.” ― Charles Dickens
In our lives we construct and we create. Dickens may be write about the difference between the two. But to me they are just different stages of the same process. Either way, something or someone new exists.
What we create with our days, with our efforts, with our lives, become our gift. They become our gift to each other, to the world, and back to God. Of course, with the gift we give that is ourselves, we change a part of the world. Those ripples of change move the tiny boats the people around us travel in. A small gesture on your part can reap great change for someone else. We may never even know that it happened. In these days of social media, things can go viral in a hurry, can’t they?If a silly dance can go viral on You Tube, we can surely realize that we too are part of the fabric of life. No we are not internet sensations, or blogging stars or superstars. But do we have to be big shots or stars in order to change the world? Of course not. We merely need to start. The things we do, say, write, create WILL go viral, but in a quieter way. As those changes and interconnections change, folks may never realize where all the threads began.
But we shall know in our heart of hearts my friend. Oh… we shall surely know. Smile big today ~ make those around you wonder what the heck you are so doggone happy about! Hum (as Winnie the Pooh would say) a hummity tune. Rejoice. The world around you is about to get better!!
