For those of you who have been praying for my dear student Duncan, I got a call from him while I was in the midst of my very first 5K!
He had received about a 46 the last time he took it. he needed a 50. (Those aren’t straight percentages, they are some kind of composite score).
Anyway, he said that he got a 63! He is IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Within a few weeks, I think, he will be sworn in. He is so thrilled and so very grateful for the prayer support.
He said the test was did NOT make him nervous this time. As a matter of fact, when he arrived at a question that said :factor this equation x^2 +7x + 10, he said “Oh wow, I have SO got this!” and proceeded to factor it correctly. He said it was a pleasure to take the test. He was so excited to be full of confidence, knowledgeable, and successful.
He improved his test scores in every single area of his test. He is thrilled, grateful, relieved, and looking forward to his swearing in. He worked hard. He worked consistently. He counseled with God.
He will be a great member of the Air Force.
So thank you, my prayer warriors.
I clapped my hands loudly and said, “thank You, Jesus!!” and now I have tears in my eyes. I’m so proud of him, so happy for you both–for a few days, Duncan belonged to all of us! God is SO GOOD! Thanks, Kate, for letting me be part of this victory–hurray for everyone! God bless you–love, sis Caddo
That was my reaction, too, Caddo!! I am so happy for him. Duncan will continue to belong to all of us as we pray him through basic training and his years of service, right? love ya sis
I truly hope you’ll keep us updated about Duncan–my heart has so immediately adopted him, and I’ll keep praying for him!!
i promise i will!
I agree with Caddo..we all prayed and God listened , as He always does…well done Duncan
thank you for your prayers, thanks be to God for His presence in Duncan’s heart as he worked his way through his test….he worked hard and steadily for months under my once a week guidance. He worked lots of extra problems in between our sessions—-he learned, he grew, he soared!!
Great news!
It sure is, Gilly!! I am so very pleased for him….he REALLY wanted this and worked VERY hard!
Yay! So happy for him, Kate, and for you, too! Well done!
Thanks Jayne! Duncan has a big fan club now~and he deserves it!!
And congrats on the 5K, too! I couldn’t run a quarter mile if ninjas were chasing me. 🙂
LOL—wallked 1/4 of a mile. walked rapidly for part, and whine and dragged the last 1/4 mile….but I did NOT quit….. 🙂
Being an Air Force family, I hope he stays in touch and does well. You did good too.
Thanks so much! I hope he does, too!
