My dear friend Renee at PositiveBoomer gave me the Sisterhood Award. http://positiveboomer.net/2012/09/28/the-sisterhood-of-the-world-blogger-award/I am so thankful that I am smiling a biggie smile! I grew up with only brothers. Their wives have become sisters to me, and my brother-in-law’s wife is a sister to me as well (as is my other brother-in-law’s fiance). But you see, I have had to learn how to be a sister to a sister….I knew how to be a sister to a brother, and a cousin to a cousin. Oh gosh–I got off track! Renee gave me this sweet blogging award. Renee is such a special lady and friend. She is wonderfully upbeat, loving, and encouraging. She is amazingly inspirational, too!
Thank you Renee :-). Now she posted the rules as “tell 7 secrets about yourself”–and then said “then they wouldn’t be secrets”. So guess what? In this election year, I am going to amend the rules :-).
Instead of passing the award to 7 bloggers, I am going to say—everyone who has ever received an award from me can grab this award, too. I have listed so many awards this month, and bloggers….I appreciate all of you. I appreciate Renee giving me this award, and I have to say, Renee~if I lived out your way, I’d SO enjoy working out at the gym with you and then sitting over coffee, comparing notes, and solving the world’s problems.
Instead of telling you 7 secrets about myself, I am going to tell you my favorite song with a 7 word title that makes me laugh. It is called: Ooga Chacka – I’m Hooked on a Feeling. Here is my favorite video link for it—It is so corny that it makes me laugh.
OH Kate. LOVE this post!!! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for being YOU. hugs ♥ Renee Love the song too. ♪ ♪ ♪
isn’t it a fun song. the hoff looks so happy in the video. hugs and love back to you ❤
It sure is!! Just gets you moving. ♥
that is ALWAYS a good thing, Renee! ❤
Big Congrats, Kate! And you’re so generous to pass it on to all your sisters–I’d kinda like to have this one, but don’t have time to do my usual acceptance speech…God bless you abundantly! love, sis Caddo
totally get that, Caddo! you are part of the sisterhood already—even without the wondrous speech 🙂 love, sis Kate
What a great video! He looks like he’s having so much fun it’s contagious. Thanks, Kate.
I know. I love the scene where he’s practically laughing while he’s singing, and another clip of him gets inserted in the video right behind him. Made me laugh.
Such a nice way to deliver awards! They can be a little cumbersome, but the spirit of passing along encouragement is delightful! Have a great new week, Kate!
I wanted to make my list of bloggers—but didn’t want to add to anyone’s list of things to do today. I have been swamped and didn’t want to create swampiness!! You have a great week too Debra ❤
I’ve been buried under curriculum and getting our school year kicked off for the last several months and fallen so behind on reading and I catch up with you here. You are just as inspirational, gracious, kind, and generous as ever! ♥
Beautiful Mary–so glad to see you. I have gotten so behind, too. I SO get it. Not multi-tasking well at all these days….hope you and your daughter are finding new adventures in togetherness. love to you both. ❤
