She Had Me At Louie

Ok. Let me preface everything I am going to say with the absolute fact that I am moved beyond measure by every blogger I read. The posts, the poetry, the photographs, the Scriptural teachings, the outlooks on life…. just as car engines run on gasoline, oil, regular maintenance, and careful driving, so too do perennial optimists run on grace-filled optimists that share their thoughts. I really need to start linking folks to oh so many of each of your posts. To that end, I highly recommend that each time you see someone comment on my blog you rush to each of those blogs.

That being said, today I sat down to look at some posts and there was a post that sent me over the moon. The words in it are profoundly wise. If you want to see the re-blog, go forward one post. Or you can get there by clicking on the link below to danLIrene’s blog (work the dream ~ isn’t that a cool title?) http://workthedream.wordpress.com/2012/03/10/spring-cleaning/

You see, her post today completely drew me in. I loved it—and it was one of those eloquent posts that clicked with me. I found myself saying “YES” aloud many times. What she did not know is that I am and always have been a huge fan of Louis Armstrong’s music. … so when she inserted one of his in the post as well~~besides putting up her perfect post, she had me at Louis! Please go read it. Trust me—it is a lovely life lesson.

And you will also quickly see why I love this poem today by another wonderful blogger http://caddoveil.wordpress.com/2012/03/10/candlelight/

Hi Kate–thanks for the nod! And I read the post about spring cleaning–honestly, you’ll laugh, but I prefer doing that inner cleaning to “housework” any day!! I remember making the list of people to forgive–in the weeks between Jan 1st and my epiphany just prior to last Easter. I guess God knew I was serious about it that time–hence the miraculous deliverance. Angry grudges are a poison that physically weighs you down, as well as mentally/emotionally/spiritually–I didn’t realize that. And yes, forgiveness is for you–not so much the other persons! Praise God–and may He richly bless your day.

WOW!! I LOVE that song.. “What a Wonderful World” Louis Armstrong is amazing! My brother made up a dvd of our precious Momma’s life to share with us all after her death in 2007. This is one of the songs on her DVD!! Oh my goodness, needless to say it bright me to tears and a smile on my face as I know my sweet momma and Daddy were smiling down at me.. Thank you for sharing this today. 🙂
