Oh my what a fast and crazy week! Every day has been filled with activities and my blogging dedication had to get set aside for the most part. I am a little disappointed about that, as I had established a new work ethic. However, life is what happens when you are busy making plans, right. Today is going to be catch up on chores and de-cluttering day. I am gradually going at it and setting up a new system in my guest room and home office.
And later in the day today—Yes! i stuck with it and got a lot done today….after my errands and chores, i set up my yard for this special weekend. I put my flag out and some smaller flags too. I tied yellow ribbons around various trees in my yard….
All to mark the 10th anniversary coming this weekend of 9/11. I have some very important, personal reasons for remembering the day. I am grateful for the loved ones i knew that survived. I remember with sorrow and love the ones who didn’t. I am grateful for the memories and stories that have been shared with me by survivors I know who were there in NYC and DC. They saw it, they lived through it. I pray for them daily. I pray for the first responders who sacrificed their lives trying to save others.
I offer prayers and love to those who mark the day this Sunday. May they be comforted.
We will never forget what was done. Not ever. Ever. Ever. Ever. Today is a day for respectful remembrance.
