Postaday topic#169: Do you take the red pill, or the bllue pill?

topic #169:

If given the choice, are you the kind of person who takes the red pill, or the blue pill? Why? When do you willfully do the opposite? “You take the blue pill – the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill – you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes.” -Morpheus (from the film The Matrix).

The first think i must confess is that I did not like The Matrix movies. I am not into science fiction and/or fantasty. However, I consider the pills, animals, and everything as an allegory. I no longer recall the movie plots and themes.

If taking the blue pill means commiting suicide, then I would never take it. If it means that you are no longer held captive by evildoers, then I would take it. Since I didn’t “buy into” the whole matrix thing, and I no longer remember it I am going to approach it my own way. I will say that the red pill is like drug addiction, and Morpheus is going to show him how far gone he can become in his addiction by taking the red pill.

The blue pill will take him to sanity. I choose the blue pill even at the risk of losing some imaginary so-called friends. Sorry if i insulted the sci-fi/action hero/fantasy fans…just not my genre…I would imagine you might say the same thing about a spectacular musical!
