When you’re feeling down, what music cheers you up? Topic #51

When you’re feeling down, what music cheers you up? Sometimes the music that cheers me up is very upbeat–some Beatles music, Crosby Stills & Nash, some stuff from Broadway musicals, Billy Joel, Springsteen, Simon and Garfunkel, Neil Diamond, Barry Manilow…..every once in awhile when I am feeling down I need sad music that will make me cry. . . like Sad Lisa by Cat Stevens or Cat’s in the Cradle, or some other sad songs …..yeah—sometimes when I am feeling down I need a good cry to get the sad out of me. Or I watch a really sad movie that makes me cry (like Penny Serenade with Cary Grant and Irene Dunne).

Generally, anything with good lyrics and a quick beat—and there is one song that always touches my heart and puts it in perspective : What a Wonderful World—sung by Mr. Louis Armstrong……oh yeah!
