Describe the worst teacher you ever had. The worst teacher I ever had was my philosophy teacher in college. He was extremely odd! I was a first semester freshman and a very, very naïve girl. Some of the things we were learning in philosophy were very unsettling to me.
When he started in on the topic of God’s existence I became frantic. Rather
than back it down a notch, he kicked me out of his class and said not to return
until I could discuss things like a philosopher…I was BESIDE myself. I had to
have the class—it was required! So I sucked it up and returned and stayed as
unemotional as possible in classroom discussions. Rather than bridge philosophy
to some other disciplines so that I could see the connections, he kept the
discussion completely boring. He read to us from the textbook. I finished the
semester with a C; but I learned nothing. I just figured out the answers to
enough questions to get a C.
