Topic #20
What’s the most important thing you’re putting off? And why haven’t you done it yet? What do you need to make it happen? I would say that the most important thing is having my files (especially expenses) organized and de-cluttered. I procrastinate about filing things way too often. It gets to be a habit and I really hate it. I have set up system after system, time after time….but I just haven’t stuck with it thus far. The thing that drives me crazy about that is that it would literally only take about 15 to 20 minutes a day if I stayed right on top of it. instead i end up with my POCs (piles o’ crap) everywhere. then they get shuffled around, stacked in bags or boxes for filing and organizing later. It really is a stupid strategy, and I know better. What do I need to make it happen? Determination and consistency. . . a willingness to hold my own feet to the fire. Time in a day to re-group so I can think clearly and get it done.
The other piece is that I need the other people in my household to be willing to not have their own POCs scattered about. It is discouraging to face all of that after I have my own stuff organized.
